We are a group of printmakers on a shared journey. It is important to us to learn, pass on, and thus preserve the knowledge of traditional printing techniques, and to promote and communicate printmaking as a contemporary artistic medium.
Our studio is self-managed and independent. As an open community, we utilize the opportunities it offers and support and inspire each other – including experimenting with and expanding upon established techniques.
Our open events, courses and workshops, which are open to all interested persons, serve as a means of mediation.
The hand-printing studio for artistic purposes has existed on 160 square meters since 1995. The studio is run by the association druckwerk.
The printing works impart knowledge in wood and linocut, letterpress printing, etching techniques and lithography, develops commissioned works, is available to artists as a workplace and is open to all interested persons.
